If you really want to explore our City Park, why not make a game of it??
The construction of the course was funded with donations from groups and individuals and contributions from the City of Perryville and was unveiled in 2013.
The course features top of the line disc golf baskets, concrete tee pads, and easy to read tee signs. Designed to utilize areas of Perryville City Park that are not heavily used by park visitors. Our course takes players through a moderately hilly landscape with a lightly wooded terrain. Beginners to experienced players, individuals and families of all ages, will find the course to be challenging, but rewarding.
What is disc golf?
Disc golf is a lot like traditional "ball" golf, except players use specially made plastic flying discs instead of balls and clubs, and throw them for 'par' at an above-ground target instead of a hole in the ground. There are different types of discs used for different purposes, much like ball golfers use different clubs.
The object of the game is to throw a golf disc into the target, typically a "Pole Hole" basket (a steel basket over which chains hang), in the fewest number of throws.
Discs are available at the front desk of the Perry Park Center and available for rent with picture identification. There is also an assortment of discs and disc golf supplies available for purchase. Scorecards with maps can also be picked up at the front desk.

5th Annual Discraft Ace Race
Each year, disc golfers from around the world gather at their local courses for one purpose...to throw aces! No putting, no approaching, just running at the chains! To add to the challenge, players all throw the same model disc-a brand new, never-seen-before Discraft prototype disc that is made especially for the Ace Race!
Each player throws one time per hole with one of the approved player pack discs. Players mark “A” for aces (hole-in-ones) and “M” for holes in which they hit metal. After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and players move directly to the next hole. The player with the most aces at the end of 36 holes is the winner. In case of a tie, a winner is determined by the number of metal hits.
